The Simpsons: 10 Best Episodes From The Past 15 Years

4. Skinner's Sense Of Snow

The Simpsons - Skinner's Sense of Snow Season 12, Episode 256 - December 2000 "You did it Nibbles, now chew through my ball sack." If that line, uttered by the tied-in-a-sack Principal Skinner to class hamster Nibbles in Skinner's Sense of Snow gets you smiling, then you're not alone - although one of the more obviously dirty jokes from The Simpsons over the years, it's laid out well enough to avoid being completely explicit, and was a laugh-out-loud moment in an episode with several of them. Skinner's Sense of Snow sees the children of Springfield Elementary snowed in with their principal, then capturing him and frankly running amok. It's another one of those plots that is actually cohesive and makes sense within the world of The Simpsons, and it only really ever drops the ball right at the very end (which involves a hallucinating Homer). Memorable moments include Skinner's horrible Christmas movie catching fire (Nelson: "Next time get a DVD" Skinner: "This is a DVD!"), the children's shrieks when he next appears to have fixed said movie (The Christmas that Almost Wasn't, But Then Was), Skinner and Willie hanging kids on coat racks, the ball sack line, and Homer's belief that the internet is the answer to everything (Marge: "How will the kids get home?!?" Homer: "I don't know, internet?"). Again, aside from the very ending (annoying camel joke), this is one of those episodes that harkens back to classic Simpsons, to the point that I actually thought it was released much earlier in the show's run.
