Squid Game: 8 Unanswered Questions We Need To Know

5. Is Hwang Jun-Ho Actually Dead?

Another one of the major twists to leave audiences hanging off the edge of their sofas came in the form of the dramatic exchange between The Front Man and Hwang Jun-ho during Squid Game's eighth episode. Not only was the ominous force seen supervising the games from start to finish revealed to be none other than Jun-ho's long-lost brother, In-ho, but said reveal is quickly followed by a puncturing gun-shot to the chest and tumble into the ocean for the young police officer.

However, if Squid Game has taught us anything over its pulsating nine episode run it's that you can never count a character out until you've seen their brains splatter all over the ground or back wall. So, despite being severely wounded and falling from a ridiculous height, it's still pretty hard to count Jun-ho out just yet.

And whilst we're on the matter, did the officer's evidence on the games' existence ever make it back to his fellow police workers? It's hard to say as the games look to be back up again by the end of the show, hinting at Jun-ho's work not doing the trick in shutting them down. But, perhaps his return in Season 2 could bring with it the tools to finally end the questionable games.
