Star Trek: 10 Things We Are Most Excited To See In Discovery S3

We know that The Burn takes place in the years between Star Trek: Picard and the third season of Discovery, though as yet we're unsure as to what exactly this means. What we need then is a history lesson, offered by what is left of the Federation.

It is safe to say that there will need to be some exposition in the first few episodes of the third season. What exactly has happened since Discovery vanished? Let us not forget that though we as an audience know what happened during the years of Kirk, Picard, Sisko and Janeway, the crew of the Discovery have never heard of these people, so there may yet be easter eggs a-plenty.

We also will need to know what shape the quadrants are in now. Is the Bajoran Wormhole still active? If so, what are the Dominion up to, especially if the the Federation was significantly weakened. Have the Borg attempted another assault on the Alpha Quadrant? Is there an empire of Quark's bars, spread throughout the cosmos?

The writers on Discovery have the room to have a lot of fun with the history of Star Trek - we can hear the complaints in the comments already...
