Star Trek: 10 Things We Are Most Excited To See In Discovery S3

6. New Faces

Star Trek Discovery Book
CBS

David Ajala is joining Star Trek: Discovery (along with that small tiger draped across his shoulders, who will be playing Grudge) as the character Cleveland Book. While much about his character remains a mystery, we know from the trailer that he is going to have some form of relationship with Burnham. He seems to be a believer in Starfleet and the Federation, though he calls the combadge on her chest proof that she believes in ghosts.

It is unknown if he is an officer in training, a believer in times past or simply someone who hopes for a better future - but the excitement that Ajala displayed during the Star Trek Day panel is hard to ignore.

Also joining the show are Ian Alexander, who will be playing a Trill character named Gray and Blu del Barrio, who will be playing Star Trek's first non-binary character, named Adira.
