Star Trek: 10 Worst Things Worf Has Ever Done

2. Everything To Do With Alexander, Ever

Worf never asked to be a father, yet like many others who find themselves caring for an unplanned child, he initially looked to be rising to the task. By initially, we mean when he remembered that Alexander existed and even then, only after his parents had hit return to sender on the young Klingon.

Worf's first instinct was to ship the child to his adoptive parents on Earth. When they weren't able to care for Alexander anymore, the boy returned to the Enterprise - not that Worf seemed to notice much. Throughout the rest of the show's run, Alexander would only pop up occasionally - future or present tense inclusive.

Over on Deep Space Nine, things got worse. Their relationship, weak as it was, had deteriorated to the point where Worf didn't even know that Alexander had joined the Klingon Defence Forces, then proceeded to watch the young man go through much ridicule. They seemed to reconcile long enough for Alexander to serve as Best Man at Worf's wedding to Jadzia, only for his father to then forget about him entirely (bar one instances where he tells Ezri he doesn't want to talk about him).

By Star Trek: Picard, Worf has achieved his dream in forgetting about Alexander entirely. We can only assume that this horrendous act of terrible parenting might be best for both of them - as they can go about their lives without having to deal with each other!
