Star Trek: 12 Most Powerful Beings Ever

5. Kevin Uxbridge

Kevin Uxbridge is, to date, the only member of the mysterious Douwd species to have been encountered by Starfleet. They are extra-dimensional beings, with the ability to create and destroy on grand scales. Tragically, while Uxbridge could cause destruction, he could not return the dead to life.

He had taken on human form to experience life, meeting and falling in love with Rishon, who would become his wife for many years. They lived for a long time on Earth, then relocated to the colony on Rana IV. They remained for several years until the colony was attacked and destroyed by the Husnok.

Rishon was killed when she attempted to defend the colony alongside the other colonists, though Uxbridge was bound by his creed as a Douwd not to cause any harm to another being. This was lost in grief when Rishon was killed and, in a moment of blind rage, he destroyed all Husnok, everywhere - close to 50 Billion living beings.

He was wracked with guilt, losing himself in the recreated illusions of his wife and their home. They were discovered by the Enterprise-D and, for a time, Uxbridge did his best to hide the truth from them. The ruse was discovered and Picard deemed his crime such that no human could adequately judge him. He was allowed to return to his illusion, potentially lost forever in grief.
