Star Trek: EVERY Chief Of Security Ranked From WORST To BEST

6. Shaxs - USS Cerritos

Lieutenant Shaxs may have found himself in the farcical world of Lower Decks, but this Bajoran's might and courage were no joke. With a set of shoulders wide enough to carry multiple crew members to safety, Shaxs is the security chief you want at your back in a real fight. Even if it's just to hide behind that wall of muscle.

His list of, frankly, bonkers exploits speaks for itself. He held back a horde of rage zombies, defended the bridge without buffer time, dabbled in covert affairs, begged to fire at scavengers, used a shuttle like a battering ram, then pushed it back into space with his bare hands, fought off the Pakleds, braved a relationship with the tough-as-claws Dr T'Ana, and even ran a choir in his spare time. And of course, he rescued the hapless lower deckers more times than we can count.

It wasn't all fun and explosions for Shaxs, though. His talent for combat was born in the Bajoran occupation, where he fought for freedom alongside Deep Space Nine's Kira Nerys. By all accounts, it sounds like they made a fearsome team. But by the time he was serving on the Cerritos, he'd learned to channel all that rage into throwing clay.

So yes, every other suggestion from the all-action hero might have been to blow up a warp core. But the man did manage to cheat death, so he couldn't have been completely clueless.
