The premise of the Admonition is that, if synthetic life is allowed to exist, then some sort of synthetic super-predator species will descend on the galaxy and purge it of all living creatures. This fear has driven secretive elements of Romulan culture for centuries.

But it's ok, you see, because we actually had some clarification this week. The Admonition isn't a warning! It's a beacon! One that when activated by synthetic life leads to some sort of synthetic super-predator species descending on the galaxy to purge it of all living creatures...

Oh, and this nonsense about Soji being The Destroyer and the one who'll unleash this genocide on trillions of innocent lives, well... yeah... she has. Anyone else sort of cheering for that Romulan fleet right about now?
