Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Maps And Legends'
2. Old Fenemies
Picard flies to see Raffi Musiker in a taxi which is a redress of the class-C shuttlecraft from Star Trek: Discovery. This shuttle type also appears zooming around over Starfleet Headquarters in this episode and shows up at the Starfleet Archive Museum and in the streets of Boston and Paris in the previous episode, "Remembrance". The Federation apparently gets its money's worth out of shuttles.
Raffi is Picard's former first officer aboard the USS Verity, as seen in the Star Trek: Picard Countdown comics, and has a bungalow at those famous Vasquez rocks. The rocks can be seen in almost every iteration of the franchise from TOS' "Shore Leave", to TNG's Minitaka III, to Star Trek (2009) as the Vulcan home planet.
Musiker and her old commander have apparently fallen out (she points a Star Trek: First Contact-ish phaser rifle at the man), but Picard brings a peace offering: Château Picard vintage 2386, apparently a very good year.
