Star Trek The Next Generation: Where Are They Now?
11. John DeLancie
Okay, so technically John de Lancie’s Q was sort an
antagonist in the Next Generation, but let’s be honest—this loveable troll was
more beloved than a lot of the actual crew members, thanks mostly to de Lancie’s
hilarious campy performance. The actor has a hammy whale of a time chewing the
scenery throughout the series, and de Lancie has remained a firm fan favourite
for decades since the show debuted.
The actor’s most noteworthy non-Star Trek role is most likely his poignant work as Jane’s bereaved father in Breaking Bad, but a glance at his CV shows that de Lancie has consistently racked up guest roles in the high-rated likes of CSI, The Mentalist, and The Librarians in recent years, as well as doing more villainous turns in the DCEU series Justice League Action and DC Super Hero Girls.
