Star Wars Rebels Season 4: 13 Questions That Must Be Answered

9. Will Emperor Palpatine Make His Debut?

This comes from more recent rumours that speculate that another iconic Star Wars character, and actor, could be making their way to Rebels.

A source told Star Wars News Net that around six months ago, Warwick Davis was recording his dialogue for his Rebels character Rukh, and a few days later, Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine) travelled to London to do the same.

Now this is not a confirmation that McDiarmid will appear in Rebels. There is some debate over whether the two were performing for different projects or whether they were in fact doing the same.

Having Palpatine make an appearance makes a great deal of sense. Season Two brought us Darth Vader, Season Three brought us Obi-Wan; why shouldn’t Season Four bring us the Emperor himself? With the Rebel threat rising, perhaps this is what draws him out of the shadows.

The Emperor has appeared in the show before, but merely as a voiceover by Sam Witwer, who did a fantastic job I should mention and whether or not it is Witwer returning to voice the character, or handing the mantle back to McDiarmid, we hope that the Emperor does appear in some form, for the final season.
