5. Exploring More Of Ahsoka And Rex's Story Before Rebels
Having too many Clone Wars characters appear could take away attention from the protagonists. However, there is a large gap in Ahsoka and Rex’s history before their return in Rebels. Having them appear for a brief cameo would make sense and fill in some blanks.
If Rex, Ahsoka and The Bad Batch are all attempting to avoid the Empire they will need allies. We could see a divide amongst the clones and how they reacted to Order 66, and also how Rex found Gregor and Wolffe and got them to remove their chips.
Although too many cameos could come across as contrived, if handled in the right manner it would be a nice call back to the previous show. It could also explain where The Bad Batch were at the time of Rebels and why Rex did not contact them for help.
