Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

Going into The Clone Wars, it would be fair to assume that the main antagonists would be Dooku, Grievous and Palpatine. But that clearly wasn't enough for the scope of the show's story, so the brilliantly conceived assassin Asajj Ventress was brought in to shake things up.

The apprentice of Count Dooku and a feared assassin known for her brutal battle tactics and expert duelling skills, Ventress spends the first act of the show as Dooku's loyal right-hand, only to be casually tossed aside on Palpatine's order and thrust into life as a bounty hunter with too many grudges to count.

Initially very easy to hate but wickedly entertaining, following Dooku's betrayal she somehow became one of the show's most likeable and tragic figures. She loses her home, her master, her army and her sisters, and briefly becomes tenuously allied with Obi-Wan and a fugitive Ahsoka Tano.

A great source of action-packed entertainment and a wonderfully complicated character, Ventress really deserves more time to shine in the Star Wars canon. If you want to know what happened to the character after her final onscreen appearance too, then be sure to read Dark Disciple!
