Stargate Universe: Where Are They Now?

4. Louis Ferreira

Stargate Universe Colonel Young
MGM

Louis Ferreira is a Portuguese-Canadian actor who played Colonel Everett Young, the beleaguered leader of the Destiny expedition. From the beginning, he is at odds with Colonel Telford, until the latter unceremoniously is flung through the gate to arrive home.

Just before Stargate Universe began airing, he was known as playing the serial killer in Durham County, a Canadian police procedural. This ran from 2007 - 2010, at which time he was starring in Stargate.

He also appeared in the opening scene of Zack Synder's Dawn of the Dead remake, where despite his military training he was very quickly turned into a zombie! Since 2017 however he has been slightly more lively in the reboot of S.W.A.T. where he plays the role of Team Leader Buck Spivey.
