Stranger Things Season 3: 5 Massively Missed Opportunities

1. Still No Interaction Between Eleven And Will

If you watched Season 3 of Stranger Things without context, you would be forgiven for thinking that Will Byers and Eleven didn't know each other. The pair shared the screen together for the majority of the season, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of their friends, and yet they exchanged maybe one line of dialogue. Will even referred to her as "some stupid girl" when berating Mike for his behaviour.

The reason that this is particularly frustrating lies in the fact that the pair's lack of interaction is becoming a recurring issue and, given that they shared a special bond throughout Season 1, it doesn't make any sense.

As the young boy found himself trapped in the Upside Down, it was Eleven who managed to locate him, using her own telekinetic methods to communicate with him, and when he resurfaced, he heard about how the girl with super-powers sacrificed herself to save him. And when Eleven returned and saved him again, two time-jumps robbed us of the chance to see them actually meet for the first time.

Now, following a season with no interactions, we're suddenly supposed to believe that they're ready to be siblings? It just doesn't add up and, given how prominent the pair's connection in Season 1 was, it just feels like a major missed opportunity that they haven't shared a single meaningful scene in three full seasons.
