Stranger Things Season 4: 10 Crazy Fan Theories That Could Happen

It’s getting to that point in Stranger Things where the deathly touch of the Grim reaper doesn’t really mean much in the broader universe. We all watched in horror as Eleven sacrificed herself for her friends back in the first season, only to be brought back to life through some or other means of rift transportation.

In the third season it was Hopper’s turn, who we now see living the prisoner life in Russia. We also saw Billy redeem himself by making the sacrificial play against the Mind Flayer, with rumours floating around suggesting that he might be making a return at some point. The only poor sod to get the permanent death after his sacrifice seems to have been Bob, whose loss still pulls at our heartstrings.

The point is, as much as we love all these characters, I think it’s about time that the showrunners shook things up a bit and showed that Stranger Things as a series can survive without bringing a lead back to life. This would prevent the show from becoming stagnant and constantly resorting to sacrifice that has no real risk associated with it.

For this reason, fans have theorized that a main character is due to be killed off in the upcoming season finale, with no return in sight.

But who could it be?
