Supernatural: The Best Episode From Every Season

2. Season 14 - Moriah

Supernatural Sam Jo
The CW

The start of this season finale started on a hilarious note as Jack causes a worldwide problem where no one can lie to each other. The Winchesters witness the havoc this causes as many fights break out and relationships are ruined by people who can’t keep secrets anymore.

It’s not until Chuck enters that the tone of the episode starts to shift. Chuck is determined to kill Jack as he fears he is too powerful to keep living on Earth. After creating The Equalizer, a gun that can kill anything but also kills the bearer who shoots it, Dean offers to be the sacrifice to be the one to kill Jack and himself in return.

It all comes to a dramatic end as Sam was able to stop Dean at the last minute once he figured out that Chuck was behind everything all along, making him the true villain throughout the entire series. Chuck reveals his lie to the Winchester brothers that nothing but The Equalizer could kill Jack by killing Jack himself out of frustration that the Winchesters weren’t following what he had planned.

The episode ends with the most shocking Supernatural cliffhanger. Chuck unleashed all the soul's Sam and Dean banished to Hell, undoing any good they had done for the world. The montage of souls and ghosts rising from the dead was haunting as we see a few fan favourites including Bloody Mary, The Woman in White and the Killer Clown from Season Two coming back to finish what they started.
