2. Raj Talking To Women
Another dramatic shift in dynamic is the fact Raj can now speak to women without being loaded up to the eyeballs on booze. While this isn't necessarily a new thing, the sheer change in his behaviour is still surprising, even bewildering Leonard when he returns from the North Sea and observes: "When did Raj start talking to women?" This is particularly evident in the season 7 opener "The Hofstadter Insufficiency" in which Raj is bemoaning the fact he was text-dumped by Lucy before being urged to get back in the game by Howard. The two attend a post-doctorate social, in which Raj offends, but then reconciles and has a flirtatious moment with Mrs Janine Davis from the Human Resources Department. We're pleased that Raj is beginning to show more confidence around women, and hope that, as Sheldon put it, the astronomer can "get his eyes back on the stars".
