The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best
4. Helmut Zemo
Back in Captain America: Civil War, Helmut Zemo proved himself to be a fantastic MCU villain. There was a reason for what he was doing, he was intelligent, dangerous, compelling, and he actually won. He manipulated the Avengers into crumbling in on itself, becoming the first person to defeat the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier he danced in a nightclub, and fans arguably loved him even more. There was of course much more to Zemo's role - and Daniel Brühl's performance - than the viral dancing, as he once again proved his worth to the MCU with a brilliant back-and-forth between the series' eponymous heroes.
This time it was as an anti-hero working alongside Sam and Bucky, rather than a full on villain, and just about every fan of the franchise would agree that there needs to be more of him to come. He was charming, just as smart as before, and still managed to show his ruthless side as he murdered Dr. Nagel and tried to do the same to Karli Morgenthau.
If La Contessa doesn't bring him in to what is likely to be the MCU's version of the Thunderbolts, then Marvel Studios will have missed a serious opportunity.
