The Last Kingdom: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 4

8. Beocca

The Last Kingdom
BBC

Father Beocca, the part-time warrior priest, is another fan favourite of the show. Fans deeply care about the fate of many of the supporting cast, but we really empathise with Beocca as he suffers constant hardship and loss. He really deserves a satisfying payoff. His emotional story arc culminated in the horrific death of his Danish wife Thyra and the destruction of his home.

Although there is no guarantee of any character's survival, the showrunners must avoid killing Beocca off in a brutal battle. Father Pyrlig the Welsh warrior priest has been somewhat relegated by the writers yet would be a suitable replacement for Beocca, as shown by his brutal fight for freedom during Season 2. Beocca must be allowed to peacefully retire to a lovely Saxon cottage with a garden by the seaside.
