There have been countless films and television shows that have featured many iconic speeches. Although this one was a dramatic moment, it was all too similar to what audiences have heard before.

To get his small army ready for the invasion, Arondir gives a speech to fill everyone who hears it with confidence. As his voice can be heard, shots of the villagers readying themselves are shown, which ends with everyone chanting.

Formulaic to a T, the speech comes off as a pale imitation of the countless scenes that many have seen from epic fantasies, to dramatized retellings of history. Even the way it was edited doesn't feel fresh either, as seeing them gearing up is also something that has been done time and time again.

Despite Arondir finally getting a moment to strike a chord with those who once despised him, it only comes off as cheesy as any other speech in cinema (and on television) that has come before it.
