The Mandalorian: 10 Things Star Wars Fans Need To Know About Bo-Katan
Starring in The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and now The Mandalorian, Bo-Katan is super important.
Star Wars fans were left with their jaws on the floor when Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) appeared in episode 3 of The Mandalorian's second season. The famous Mandalorian was a key player in the third episode, rescuing Din Djarin and the Child from certain death before continuing her mission to claim what rightfully belongs to her: the Darksaber.
Katan has been active since the Clone Wars, with fans only seeing the character in animated form until she joined the cast of the Mandalorian. She has a lot of history with many big names in the Star Wars universe, and is a key player through her position on the planet Mandalore.
Since she is actively fighting the Empire and is on a collision course with Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), it is almost certain that the audience will see Bo-Katan cross paths with Mando and The Child again, most likely before the end of the second season.

10. She Debuted In Star Wars: The Clone Wars
The character of Bo-Katan Kryze made her debut in the hit animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with the character solely appearing in the animated format until her live action debut in Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian.
Katan debuted in the season 4 episode "A Friend in Need" as one of the leaders of Death Watch. She would make subsequent appearances as an important character in the Mandalore focused episodes.
Katan would appear in the 2014 series Star Wars Rebels, where her character was further developed as the heir to the throne of Mandalore. The Mandalorian will look to continue the development of the character, as she is integral to Mandalore and indeed all Mandalorians.
