From the moment we saw his adorable little face, we all knew that this wrinkly Kermit was going to be a force-user.

Levitating the Mudhorn was an iconic accomplishment, and The Child's powers only got stronger from there. From the surprisingly powerful force-heal to a surprisingly sinister force-choke, and at last holding back a flamethrower, The Child has shown time and again that they are willing to reach dangerously far into the force to save Mando.

This hints at a potentially dark future for the little green creature, as their emotions seem to be guiding their exploration of the force. Although (going by their mannerisms rather than actual age) they'd still be considered an exceptionally young Padawan, we know from the entire story of Anakin that being ruled by your emotions is a path to the dark side. The longer they go without a Jedi to guide them, the closer they may be to falling, driven by fear for their new guardian.

The Mandalorian's quest to find a suitable Jedi for The Child may have a much closer deadline than anyone realises.

My passion for all things Sci Fi goes back to my earliest days, when old VHS copies of Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet gripped my tiny mind with their big, noisy vehicles and terrifying puppets. I'd like to say my taste got more refined over the years, but between the Warhammer, Space Dandy and niche Star Wars EU books, perhaps it just got broader. I've enjoyed games of all calibre since I figured out that dice weren't just for eating, and have written prose ever since I was left unsupervised with some crayons next to a white wall. I got away with it by calling it "schoolwork" for as long as I could, and university helped me keep the charade going a while longer. Since my work began to get published, it's made all those long hours repainting the walls seem worth it.
