The Simpsons: 10 Greatest Fox Gags

8. MoneyBart (2010)

This is without doubt one of the most fascinating and stunningly rendered couch gags in the history of the Simpsons €“ and you probably shouldn€™t expect any less considering it comes from the genius mind of Banksy. Known for his anti-capitalist and anti-consumerist street art (amongst many other things), Banksy€™s couch gag is pretty explicit in what it is trying to say €“ and that is that FOX is an exploitative, tyrannical, slave driving multimedia outfit, that produces its content on the broken backs of sweatshop animators. The animators in the sequence live a hellish existence of broken dreams and shattered spirits, and all this sadness is done within the FOX logo and at the behest of NewsCorp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX1iplQQJTo It€™s hard to imagine many other shows that could get away with such an unsubtle and bold proclamation regarding the very company that keeps it alive. But as we€™ve discussed the Simpsons isn€™t exactly like most other shows.
