"The Regina Monologues" which sees the Simpsons travel to London, England is one of the most star studded episodes ever. Featuring the guest voices of Harry Potter author JK Rowling, Sir Ian McKellan and Prime Minister at the time of broadcast Tony Blair. Wait - what? Yes the man who was running the country at the time (during a freaking war with Iraq) took the time to appear on the Simpsons. Though his scene was harmless and actually pretty funny (Homer hilariously mistakes him for Mr Bean), it hardly seemed worth the eight months of negotiations it took to get Blair on the show. Yes eight months. And while the episode as a whole is decent enough, it's hard to laugh at the dated depiction of England from the viewpoint of Americans. The episode rushes from cameo to cameo, while throwing in every England cliche imaginable. We get it already! The English love fish and chips!
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
