The Simpsons: 11 Most Paused Moments

9. “If You Are Reading This, You Have No Life”

The Simpsons Most Paused
Fox

The episode “Homer Badman”, a fantastic social commentary of the venomousness of the media and its reluctance to take responsibility, shows Homer being wrongfully accused of sexually harassing his children’s babysitter and the situation being blown out of proportion to the point where it becomes broadcast news on every channel. The conclusion of this episode sees him a cleared man thanks to Groundskeeper Willie's taping of the incident proving it was a complete misunderstanding.

The press outlet Rock Bottom reluctantly admit on TV that they sometimes make mistakes and then provide a very quick running list of the following corrections they’d like to make. The list of confessions passes by so swiftly that it is impossible to read any of them. But for the more curious-minded viewers, they wanted to see what some of the corrections read out.

If you pause at the right moments, you'll find some hilarious examples – “The older Flanders boy is Todd, not Rod” and “The bug on your TV screen can see into your home”. But the funniest and perhaps most insulting one says “If you are reading this, you have no life”.

Ouch!
