5. Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep is one of the world's favourite actresses, thanks in no small part to her performances as Margaret Thatcher, Miranda Priestly, and Donna in Mamma Mia. Before bringing any of these characters to life however, and 12 years after Sophie's Choice, she lent her voice to The Simpsons.

Way back in 1994, the multiple Academy Award winner brought to life Bart's troublesome first love, Jessica Lovejoy. Though she may have come across as the perfect minister's daughter at first, deep down she was wicked, and got her kicks from stealing the church collection plate and blaming it on Bart.

By the end of the episode it's revealed that she had a history of doing awful things for attention, but Reverend Lovejoy's preferred course of action was to ignore them and go on pretending that she was never at fault.

Meryl Streep is as well versed in portraying good guys as bad guys, and was able to strike a perfect balance between the two during her appearance in Springfield.
