7. Rick Keeps His Promise
The last remnants of the Terminus compound descend on Gabriel’s church hoping to ambush the weaker members of Rick’s group. Unfortunately for them (and fortunately for all of us who enjoy Rick’s chilling monologues) Rick was two steps ahead and planning an ambush of his own.
“Put your guns on the floor and kneel.”
Cornered beneath the church alter, Gareth pleads with Rick to let them walk out unscathed promising that they’ll never cross paths again. But Rick reminds Gareth that he has already made him a promise, and that promise was to kill him. Machete drawn, the bloodshed begins – and continues - until the last remaining Termites have been terminated.
A man who keeps his promise, Rick's violent display is sweet revenge on a gang that has tormented and tortured his people. The aggression and vigor he uses in delivering his repetitive machete blows is quite simply put... badass.
