The Walking Dead: 10 Most Disappointing Episodes Ever
7. Heads Up (Season 6, Episode 7)
The Walking Dead's sixth season saw the group settled into Alexandria and a handful of uneventful episodes ensued. The seventh episode, "Heads Up" is one of the greatest offenders.
Stringing audiences along, the season left one question unanswered; what happened to Glenn and Nicholas? The last time audiences saw them, the two were cornered in an alley on top of a dumpster. The latter shot himself, causing them both to tumble off into the ravenous horde below.
What makes Heads Up such a letdown is its opening; after a few episodes of no word, many an audience member was very disappointed to see that Glenn Rhee's death in the episode "Thank You" was little more than a cop-out, as the popular character crawled under the dumpster while Nicholas was devoured. This fake death was shot very intentionally to trick the audience, something The Walking Dead has generally avoided in the past.
This was an incredibly lazy and poorly thought out bit of writing. It neutered much of the tension that had been building beforehand and rendered future twists in the season rather toothless. Outside of that, the episode stands out as rather uneventful; it's merely a case of the characters reacting to the Wolves attack, leading up to another zombie infestation.
