The Walking Dead: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best
7. Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs)
Fans didn’t really like Carl in the early days of the show. Seen as too whiny and boring, his development going into seasons three and four turned the young Grimes boy into a walker-killing veteran destined to go far.
His development into an independent survivor was masterfully handled over his eight season tenure, thanks to the startling performance of Chandler Riggs, and he shined as a beacon for what the future of the world could be.
His death may have been slightly ill-advised given his development in the comics, but thanks to the introduction of an older Judith and his final wishes for a peaceful world being honoured throughout Season 9, his influence on the current tone of the show has been biblical.
He’s still missed, but he won’t be forgotten.
