Centred entirely on Daryl and Beth as they go hunting for alcohol instead of confronting their growing grief, Still is an admittedly divisive episode that nonetheless adds heaps of well-earned development to its two stars.

After spending a night trapped in a car trunk surrounded by a walker herd, the pair venture into the woods before Beth decides she wants a drink, forcing a reluctant Daryl to watch out for her.

Once the pair have found their booze, they begin to bond and open up, which leads to Daryl's trauma over his past and The Governor's assault to pour out of him.

Both Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney give incredibly strong performances throughout, and by the time the episode comes to an end there's a sense that everything might just work out for everyone after all.
