The Walking Dead: Every Season 4 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

The Walking Dead After Eating
AMC

Following The Governor's devastating final attack on the prison, the Survivors were scattered, leaving many fans to ponder how the show would progress.

It ended up being a pleasant surprise, then, when After was released. Whilst the previous episode had been an emotionally devastating, action-heavy hour, After was small-scale and focussed entirely on Carl as he watches over his severely wounded father and goes out into the world alone.

Though an episode centred around Carl nearly dying repeatedly and eating ice cream sounds a little lame, After is a lot deeper than meets the eye, as it allows the younger Grimes to confront the possibility of his dad's death.

Chandler Riggs gives the best performance of his time on the show here, and the segments featuring a directionless Michonne help it end on an emotionally resonant high.
