The Walking Dead: Every Season 8 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

Dead Or Alive Or is one of the few episodes in the show's seventh or eighth season that makes Dwight marginally interesting, as he helps Daryl and Rosita lead the surviving Alexandrians to Hilltop but must contend with the vengeful ire of Tara.

The tension between Daryl, Dwight and Tara is both well performed and genuinely affecting, and later when the episode switches focus to Gabriel's loss of faith the high quality is maintained with some great performances and stirring character development.

Ultimately, though, the episode is tragically let-down by its pacing issues, as it once more attempts to balance a dozen different arcs and characters at once without making them fully come together. It's not an all-out failure, but Dead Or Alive Or isn't exactly an all-timer either, despite its strengths.
