The Walking Dead: Every Season 9 Episode Ranked Worst To Best
2. What Comes After
Back before it aired, everyone knew What Comes After would be Andrew Lincoln's swan song as Rick Grimes (on the show, at least), and few were willing to accept it. Whether or not you agree with the decision to write Officer Friendly out, though, it's hard to argue with just how brilliant the episode was.
Bringing in old faces, dreamlike visuals, and a touching tone centred around Rick's love for his family, the episode is incredibly moving, and finds Lincoln himself giving the performance of his career in the process.
Better yet, it also has the time to bring in the likes of Jon Bernthal and Scott Wilson - who tragically died before the episode aired, making his scenes all the more heartbreaking - to help send Rick on his way. What Comes After is one of the show's best episodes, and there's nothing in it that could be changed to improve it.
Now, bring on the Rick Grimes movies!
