Having used her charms and wit to get what she wants, it is no surprise to see Carol cooking up a new plan to save her friends.

Reunited with Negan, who now finds himself within the Commonwealth, he assists Carol with her plan to protect everyone in and outside the walls. And her plan? To find Sebastian and use him as leverage while also developing an escape route if things turn south for them.

Carol's knowledge and low profile around the community make her a cunning character who knows just how important the key figures are and how to make them do as she wishes. All the while they remain oblivious to her and the lengths that only the fans know she will go to get what she desires.

She may have done this countless times throughout the show, but it's always entertaining to see what Carol is plotting and how far she can go with nothing more than some careful plans and some encouraging words. Even if the outcome remains the same, seeing her foil her targets and how she does it continues to make her one of the show's best characters.

If any of the residents or the government officials will catch on to Carol's scheme is hard to say as the series slowly crawls towards its final episode, but fans can rest assured that she will have many more tricks up her sleeve. That, and the spin-off show with Daryl to follow might secure her a safe exit.
