The Walking Dead Season 6: 13 WTF Moments From 'The Same Boat'

7. Backstory

From the moment we were first introduced to Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead€™s very first episode, we€™ve had very little detail on what actually happened to make the world go to hell. We still don€™t know what really caused the walker outbreak, and we€™ve rarely been given a look at how the whole situation played out when it was in its infancy. Sure, there€™s Fear the Walking Dead, but that€™s sadly only a so-so show at best, and that€™s one that€™s also throwing up more question than answers. Courtesy of The Saviors€™ Paula, though, we at least were given a glimpse into how things played out for her when the world started to go to hell. She filled us in on how the army seized control over Washington, D.C. and made sure that government officials were all given the VIP treatment first and foremost, whilst she was left stuck in an office with her a**hat of a boss. Maybe one day we€™ll get the full picture of what went down or even how the military is a non-entity these days, but for now we€™ll have to do with morsels like this as we look to piece together the greater picture.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics.
