True Blood: 10 Answers We Must Get In The Final Season

7. When Is 'Due Time' For Violet And Jason?

While this is a question of B-story concerns it is still important. Its answer will not only lead a beloved character in a potentially positive direction before the trauma of the final battles, but will also factor into the outcome of the series as, live or die, it is assured Jason will factor into its conclusion. The settling of this question will be a crucial moment for defining Jason Stackhouse as the series ends. Jason has stumbled through the series as a loveable, loyal, horny addict generally motivated by his hormones and need to abuse some substances. His pairing with Violet during season six began a new arc for the character that will culminate in who fans see him as after the final curtain closes. There seems to be genuine affection in his relationship with Violet, an affection that grew from less than romantic origins. Violet initially claimed Jason against his will as her mate and uncontaminated food source, but over the course of the sixth season their relationship became mutual and loving. Putting Jason into a position where he is forced to delay his wants and curb his appetites is a sure method of stimulating emotional growth and with only ten episodes remaining the show has plenty to accomplish with this character before the finale. Resolving this unanswered question early would leave enough room to provide an unrushed payoff to the lessons Jason learns and the new motivations they provide.
