9. Will Dale And Audrey Hook Up?

One of the most endearing non-romances of the show was that between Cooper and haughty teen Audrey, who flirted on and off through both seasons even amidst separate romances. In the twenty-plus years since the show€™s hiatus, the town has grown up. The tryst held off by the anti-couple could have engaged at some point, perhaps even under BOB€™s influence. The unconsummated Dale-Audrey romance was a fan favorite (as well as a Lynch favorite) but was quelled by star Kyle MacLachlan, who refused to have any explicit references to a romance evinced. Writer-producer Robert Engels claimed this was due in large part to the influence of Lara Flynn Boyle, who was dating MacLachlan at the time and chose not to push the romance forward. However, now that over two decades have passed and interest in the coupling continues to rear its head for the third season revival, perhaps the fire between the pair could have rekindled at some point - if Coop escaped the Black Lodge and Audrey survived the bank vault blast, that is.
