Twin Peaks Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

12. David Lynch And Mark Frost Will Have Full Creative Control

Twin Peaks could not return without its creators in charge, and perhaps the most exciting aspect of the series' revival is the fact that David Lynch and Mark Frost will co-write everything, and that David Lynch will direct every episode. There are also rumours that original editor Duwayne Dunham is set to be back on board too. According to Mark Frost, he and Lynch had been considering bringing the show back for at least three years before it was announced, and they have plenty of ideas about where they want to take the new series. Lynch's determination to make the series his way resulted in severe delays in contract talks AFTER the series had already been announced. Several months ago he tweeted "After one year and four months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done", resulting in widespread panic among fans that feared that either the show's revival would not go ahead, or that it would be helmed by someone other than Lynch. Fortunately, negotiations continued and Lynch is back on board. His terms, which will be outlined later in this list, were met because, according to Nevins, "I never had doubt we would get him back, Twin Peaks is a huge priority for us".
