9. Borg

Borg of Gotaland is infamous since he's the first person in the show to endure Kattegat's most barbaric ritual - The Blood Eagle. For this execution, the victim's back is sliced open, their ribs are hacked off, and their lungs are pulled out, and draped across the shoulders. Because this was regarded as the most brutal punishment, The Blood Eagle was only performed on those the vikings regarded as irredeemable.

So, what did Borg do that made him deserving of such a fate? Well, he preyed on Rollo's jealousy towards his brother, encouraging him to betray Ragnar and his people. He blinded his brother before incinerating him to death. He hounded Ragnar for years, trying to kill him and his family on multiple occasions. Also, the fact that he snogs his wife's skull is pretty messed up.

What's worse is that his four-year feud with Kattegat began because Borg didn't want to share minerals with Ragnar's ally, King Horvik. Considering how many people suffered and died just because Borg was blinded by childish greed makes him deserving of Kattegat's brutal execution.
