Westworld: Ranking Every Main Character From Worst To Best
6. Charlotte Hale
Charlotte Hale started off as a relatively one-dimensional villain in an ensemble of layered characters, but as time went on Hale began to develop and eventually changed entirely. Now, she's one of the highlights of Season Three and stands out as one of the best characters on the show.
During Season Two, Dolores murders Hale and makes a host of her body that has a Dolores pearl inside. This new Dolores/Hale hybrid made for a brilliant showcase of Tessa Thompson's acting capabilities as the two personalities battled for control. The introduction of Hale's young son is an added emotional hook which is all the more traumatising when she ends up losing him.
The new Hale is one of the most captivating things on the show right now and her plot of revenge against everyone is one of the most pressing cliff-hangers of the third season. Hopefully, as she takes centre stage as the show's main villain, Nolan and Joy won't dilute her character's development and return her to being one-dimensional. The character deserves better than that especially after such a strong showing in the most recent season.
