Westworld: Ranking Every Main Character From Worst To Best
13. Hector Escaton
Hector was designed to be the archetypal Western outlaw. Suave, mysterious, deadly and appealing, Hector would swagger around as one of Westworld's main attractions. Whether you wanted to join his gang or kill him was up to the guests.
He has one of the best looks on the show, prioritising style over realism and his larger than life persona makes for some of the more cool action scenes. When he, Armistace and their gang attack the saloon in Sweetwater in the second episode of the first season, it is one of the most awesome sequences on the show and a great introduction to Hector.
After Maeve becomes more aware of her surroundings, she confides in Hector which leads to them becoming enamoured with each other. Their dynamic proves to be far healthier than Dolores and Teddy's and Hector is completely devoted to Maeve's goals.
His brief stint in Season Three was surprisingly effective as the new Charlotte crushes Hector's pearl in front of Maeve presumably killing him forever. It's a sad end for the character but an emotionally arresting one.
