Martini in her hand and a scowl on her face, Queen Maeve is essentially what would happen if Wonder Woman secretly wanted to kill all the other Justice League members and developed an alcohol problem - so basically she's Wonder Woman, but infinitely better.
The key difference between the two has to be Maeve's blonde hair, which is unmistakably a decision made in order to emphasise the sort of glamourous model aspects of Maeve's character, and the link to her substance abuse that comes with this.
In The Show
Trading her Barbie looks for something even closer to Wonder Woman, the Amazon adaptation of Maeve manages to be far more human not just in personality but also looks, as we get to see the 'behind scenes' version of the Queen, instead of the glamorised version permanently half-prepared to be in front of the camera.
