What The Simpsons Voice Actors Look Like In Real Life

8. Tress MacNeille (Agnes Skinner)

Nancy Cartwirght Bart Simpson
Fox

Additional Voices: Lindsay Naegle, Cookie Kwan, Crazy Cat Lady, Bernice Hibbert, Dolph Starbeam

Though Tress MacNeille is a reliable part of The Simpsons’ cast, it’s in Futurama where she’s really shone. There, she voices Mom, Linda and quite a few others, a gig she was undoubtedly helped in getting by her great performances on The Simpsons.

Cookie, Bernice and Lindsay don’t often get enough credit for how funny they are, but long time fans definitely appreciate the flavour they add. Agnes and Crazy Cat Lady don’t need any introduction, with MacNeille’s over the top delivery style turning them both into cult favourites.

With Crazy Cat Lady such an eccentric wildcard, it’s impressive that Agnes bounces so well off the straight laced Principal Skinner. Obviously, a great deal of that comes down to the writing, but the dryness of the character is all MacNeille. By now, they’re surely writing for her style too.

Elsewhere, Dolph provides a handful of laughs without disappearing into the gang of bullies, showing again the depth of Springfield’s characters.
