10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Last Decade

1. Jon Jones

What else can you say about Jon Jones that hasn't already been said? The UFC light heavyweight champion might be a nightmare outside of the cage, but when he's fighting and at his very focussed best, Jones is violent savant who does things no other fighter ever has. Unbelievable physical attributes, mixed with incredible technique and a nasty streak has helped make him become a seemingly unstoppable monster.

So what is it about Jones that really separates him from everyone else on this list? After all, there isn't one fighter who doesn't have some exceptional names on their record. However, while having some impressive scalps is one thing, wiping out two generations of light heavyweights is something simply unheard of.

The first victims of his dominance was the greatest era of 205lbers to ever compete. The likes of Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida, Shogun Rua, Vitor Belfort and Rampage Jackson all achieved so much during their careers to make them future UFC hall of famers. All of them were annihilated by Jones as if they were B-level competitors.

Then he took on his own generation of fighters, brutalizing the likes Alexander Gustafsson twice, Daniel Cormier, Ovince St. Preux, Thiago Santos and Anthony Smith after coming back from his problems outside of the Octagon.

Now with the likes of Johnny Walker, Dominick Reyes and Alexander Rakic all vying for an opportunity at Jones, he could very well wipe out a third era of fighters. And he hasn't even taken a stab at heavyweight yet. At 32-years old, could a second decade of dominance be on the cards for Jon Jones? Only time will tell....
