10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Last Decade

2. Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier might be on the cusp of retiring to the commentary booth, but let's not forget that he's still one of the top fighters on the planet. If you look at his achievements, the men he's been able to beat and the fact that he will go down as one of the best to ever compete in two weight classes, it's hard to argue Cormier's standing in the sport.

Prior to joining the UFC, Cormier was battering heavyweights in Strikeforce, eventually winning the extremely underrated tournament which was the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix. Let's not forget his insane high crotch slam of Josh Barnett and how people were majorly impressed by how he manhandled the former UFC heavyweight champion. While Jon Jones was away due to a number of suspensions, Cormier lorded over the 205lb division, battering heavy hitters like Anthony Johnson, Volkan Oezdemir and Alexander Gustafsson.

His Olympic wrestling might be the foundation of his game, but the former champ-champ has evolved into an all around mixed martial artist with underrated, yet powerful striking and solid ground game to match. As a fighter overall, DC has exceeded the expectations many had for him to become an all-time great.

In fact, he'd probably be at number one if it wasn't for the man who beat him being there...
