10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Last Decade

8. Amanda Nunes

The rise of Amanda Nunes has been one of the most interesting on this list. Although she always looked like a talented and powerful fighter, there were some questions about her cardio that made fans wonder if she'd be able to reach the next level.

However, since her loss Cat Zingano back in 2014, Nunes has reinvented herself into arguably the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time. Miesha Tate, Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg. You name them, she's beaten them. Not only has she beaten them, she's finished all of these WMMA greats in under a round. These victories helped her gain the 145lb and 135lb titles, making her the first female champ-champ in the history of the UFC.

Her biggest, and most difficult test, was against current UFC flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko. The two have fought twice, with both bouts being highly competitive. Although there were a fair few people who had Shevchenko up on the scorecards, Nunes was able to walk away with both victories.

Hopefully, we get to see a trilogy fight between the two champions as a win for either would put further credence towards their legacies. However, despite Shevchenko's own achievements, she hasn't had to fight the same level of competition Nunes has. So when it comes to women's MMA in this decade, it's the Brazilian who deserves the nod on this list.
