9. Roger Huerta Versus A Former NFL Player
Roger Huerta is a former UFC star who currently fights for Bellator MMA. He is best known for being the first mixed martial artist to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
On 10 August 2010, outside a bar in Austin, Texas, the former UFC lightweight witnessed a large man striking a woman in the back of the head and knocking her to the ground. The man who committed the horrific act was an American football player named Rashad Bobino. Bobino played college ball for the Texas Longhorns and had a brief stint in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons.
Understandably upset with what he had just seen, Huerta confronted the much larger football player and a brawl quickly ensued. While there is video footage of the incident, it's difficult to see exactly what went down [contains some violent imagery].
However, one thing we do know for certain is altercation ended with Bobino lying on the ground unconscious. Huerta was later hailed as a hero.
