UFC: 10 Embarrassingly Awful Nicknames MMA Fighters Actually Used

6. Frank “Twinkle Toes” Trigg

MMA referee Frank Trigg was a terrifying fighter in his heyday. He's stepped in the cage with the best of the best, including Georges St-Pierre, Robbie Lawler, and Carlos Condit. The former NCAA Division I wrestler is remembered fondly for his rivalry with UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes.

While there is some ironic humor in having a nickname like "Twinkle Toes," it's not really the kind of moniker one wants to put on a billboard to promote an MMA fight. "Twinkle Toes" It's a great name for a person who is looking to land a lead role in The Nutcracker ballet. However, it doesn't really encapsulate the fighter Trigg was — though there aren't many people who would say that to his face.
