UFC 244 Predictions

6. Preliminary Card Preview

Following his insane flying knee knockout of Misha Cirkunov at UFC 235 last year, Johnny Walker makes his much anticipated return to the Octagon against fellow light heavyweight contender Corey Anderson. While Walker has proven himself to be an incredibly violent threat at 205lb, Anderson has shown that his wrestling is more than enough to stifle some of the best in the division. However, will it be enough to stop Walker's hype train?

Surging featherweight, Shane Burgos has impressed as of late, beating the likes of Cub Swanson and Kurt Holobaugh in his last two bouts. Those wins have given him the opportunity to take on talented Finnish wrestler, Makwan Amirkhani. Both featherweights are on the cusp of creeping into the top 10 with an impressive performance, but who will solidify their spot with a win?

Top middleweight prospect Edmen Shahbazyan has looked sensational since he battered Antonio Jones on the Dana White Contender Series back in July 2018. He's had three fights since then and has looked nearly unstoppable in each of them. He takes on 185lb gatekeeper Brad Tavares, to see if he's ready for the top echelon of opponents in his weight class.

Lastly, veteran fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski, will do battle with undefeated fight-finisher, Jairzinho Rozenstruik. With an undefeated 8-0 record, which includes seven knockout wins, Rozenstruik will be looking to test Arlovski's chin often and as soon as possible.
